Originally I intended this blog to be a vehicle for shameless self promotion of my art work. I have decided however to expand the concept and will occasionally write about other artists or exhibits, galleries etc. that I find interesting. An informal arts journal. I hope those of you who visit this site will find something interesting and stop back from time to time to see what I’ve added. Please feel free to leave a comment or drop an e-mail if you are interested or have questions about a piece of work. Kim Roberti

Every now and then an artist comes along that just blows me away. Kim Roberti is just such an artist. Her small oil paintings of bohemian charachters have a somewhat nostalgic quality and yet at the same time are thoroughly modern in style and appearence. Kim is a very skilled artist and the painterly quality is my opinion quite exceptional. The brush work strong, the compositions intimate and slightly whimsical.

We have six pieces currently on view at the gallery. They are priced modestly at $200 and represent an excellent way to start or add to an art collection. This is exactly what I meant in my previous post, "Why Buy Art". An outstanding new artist. Very affordable and yet high quality orginal artwork. Her paintings have been selling well on e-bay and in recent auctions have brought prices from the high $200's to over $700. I sincerely believe those prices will only continue to go higher as more and more collectors and dealers discover her work.

Like any piece of art, they may not appeal to everyone's sense of aesthetic, but for those who really like them, and lot of people do. They are truly a find, that you will enjoy and will almost certainly appreciate in value over time.
