Welded Steel. Inspired by two of my favorite sculptors, David Smith and David Hayes. Mr. Hayes was a protege of Mr. Smith. Two modern masters. I was fortunate to have briefly studied with the late Mr. Hayes.
This tabletop piece measures about two feet tall and received first prize in sculpture at the 2014 VAMC Art Competition in Orlando and was also selected for a group exhibition at the Orlando Museum of Art as part of the 1st Thursday event series.
This sculpture and another titled TTS #8, Oct. 2014 "Eclipse" are now part of the private collection of Dr. and Mrs. Liming, in Kentucky.
