"Arrangement in Steel"
This little gem is my latest tabletop sculpture. The piece measures 15" X 7" x 5.5". I nearly titled it "happenstance" as these steel pieces had fallen together in a bin and I found them arranged pretty much as you see them. I did add the base and the two additional elements to bring the piece together. Currently available for viewing or purchase at Gallery on First, Sanford, Florida. $500.00

In addition to the bright red I also used Golden blue hue interference paint that gives a changing shimmer depending on the light source. "Key Lime River" SOLD
This is my most recent painting. "Key Lime River" acrylic on birch panel. 40" X 60". This painting is heavily textured and is primarily light yellow and lime green, however there are also many subtle tones throughout as I built layer upon layer of both transparent washes and selectively opaque areas.

Back to the Modern World
It's been a while since I have posted anything here. I spent another wonderful summer at my cabin/studio in northern New York. I have six acres in a somewhat remote area north of Syracuse. It served as a weekend getaway when we lived in New York, but now that we are in Florida it is our summer retreat.
Deb did some painting, but I spent the summer doing building projects and working with my son. We did make it to the Everson to see the Roth exhibit, which exceeded our expectations. Had hoped to make it to Munson Williams Proctor for the Impressionist show, but after Deb was injured we ran out of time.
Anyway we are back in Florida now. I am building a studio building in our backyard. I'll post pictures here soon, and will get back to doing some painting and sculpting.
